What “Tested” means
A small number of articles carry a ● Tested badge with a scored ranking — right now that’s articles where we ran the same real task (the same prompts, the same starting commit, a blind review) against every product in the comparison. That’s a genuinely expensive thing to do well, so we only attach a numeric score where we’ve actually done it.
Most comparison articles haven’t been hands-on tested end to end. Those are built from vendor documentation, published pricing, and public reviews instead — and we say so. When there’s no single clear winner across different use cases, we say “depends on the job” rather than force-ranking products we haven’t actually run side by side. We’d rather be honest about the difference than fabricate a number to make the article look more authoritative than it is.
Pricing and claims
Prices are pulled from each vendor’s own pricing page and dated in the article. Vendors change pricing and plans often — if you spot one that’s gone stale, that’s useful to know; see Corrections below.
Affiliate policy
Some links on this site are affiliate links — we may earn a commission if you sign up through them, at no extra cost to you. That relationship never decides which product gets recommended: we’d rather send you to the right tool and earn nothing than send you to the wrong one and earn a commission. Where a product has no affiliate program, we link to it anyway if it’s the right recommendation.
Editorial policy
Articles are written and maintained by Monster Tango’s own research — no sponsored placements, no pay-for-ranking. An article’s “Updated” date reflects the last time we checked its claims against current reality, not just a cosmetic edit.
