Hacker News story mentions added up per category, and monstertango.com’s own real visit count — both real public signals, not numbers we made up. HN search matches any word in a story, not an exact product phrase, so treat the category waves as “what’s buzzing,” not a precise market-share metric.
Mentions counted across every product we track in each category, bucketed by week. Source: the Hacker News (Algolia) search API, refreshed hourly.
Real page views, classified server-side by user-agent — good for a rough read on SEO crawl activity vs. real readers, not a precise bot-detection system (a scraper deliberately pretending to be a browser reads as human here).
